## Cell Tower Lease Expert

Telesites is currently ironing out a deal to lease towers to AT&T in Mexico. If completed, this deal would open up AT&T to the roughly 11,000 towers Telesites owns in the county.

AT&T leasing in Mexico increased in early 2015 and the company has been acquiring tower leases at a rapid pace. Their goal is expand their network and building on their mobile internet offerings in the region. At&T has acquired Grup Iusacell SA and [Nextel Mexico](http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-01-26/at-t-agrees-to-buy-nextel-mexico-for-1-875-billion-minus-debt)
, making AT&T a regional force in Mexico. They have not discussed any financial targets publicly, but the expectation is to increase from $.7 billion to 1 billion by 2018 in Mexico. To date, [AT&T has committed more than $50 billion](http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-01-26/at-t-buying-mexico-assets-likely-good-for-slim-corporate-mexico)
 south of the US border.
